Terms & Conditions

These terms apply whenever you buy or use a license through NextByte Commerce (nextbytecommerce.com), operated by NextByte AB ("we", "us"), Norrköping, Sweden. By completing a purchase, you agree to them.

What you're buying

Each purchase is a license to use one NextByte Magento 2 / Adobe Commerce module, for the term you chose (1, 2, or 3 years), not a transfer of ownership. The module's source code, and the intellectual property in it, remain ours. Each license covers one production Magento installation. You may also use it on development, local, and staging copies that support that same production store. A separate production store or client requires a separate license. You may not resell, sublicense, or redistribute the module or your license key.

Magento edition and compatibility

Choose the license for the platform the module will run on: Magento Open Source (shown as Community in parts of the store) or Adobe Commerce (shown as Enterprise). The compatibility versions listed on the module page apply at the time of purchase. If your Magento, PHP, Hyvä, or third-party extension version isn't listed, contact us before buying rather than assuming compatibility.

What's included in a term

Your license term covers updates and direct support for that module. It's a one-time payment, not a subscription: we don't charge your card again automatically. Once your term ends, the module keeps working; you simply stop receiving updates and support until you renew (a manual action from your dashboard, not an automatic charge).

What module support includes

During an active support term, we help with installing and configuring the module, investigate reproducible defects, and answer questions about its documented features and listed compatibility. Support does not include custom features, store administration, infrastructure work, Magento upgrades, or conflicts caused by unrelated third-party code. We can quote those separately as consulting work. We may ask for a reproducible example or temporary access under our secure-access process before investigating a store-specific issue.

Accounts

You can check out as a guest, and we'll create an account for you automatically and email you a link to set a password. You're responsible for keeping your account credentials and license keys confidential, and for all activity under your account.

Payment

Prices are shown in USD. The total displayed at Stripe checkout is the amount we charge. VAT and other tax treatment depend on the buyer's location, status, and the information supplied at checkout. Contact us before purchase if you need a VAT ID recorded or have specific invoice requirements. Payment is processed by Stripe; we never see or store your card details. See our Refund Policy for cancellations and refunds.

Consulting and custom development

Sending an initial request does not commit either party to a project. Before paid work begins, we'll provide a written scope or quote describing the work, deliverables, price, payment schedule, and expected timeline. Work begins only after you accept those terms and make any payment they require. A service page's stated price range and timeline are estimates until confirmed in that quote. Requests outside the agreed scope are handled as a written change or a separate quote.

A service may be free to request or may require a scoping deposit. The terms shown on that service page at submission apply. Any required deposit is credited toward the accepted quote; its refund treatment is explained in our Refund Policy.

Reviews & bug reports

If you've purchased a module, you may submit a review or a bug report for it. Reviews are moderated before publishing, and we can decline to publish a review at our discretion (for example, if it's abusive, off-topic, or clearly not from a genuine purchaser), and submitting one doesn't guarantee it will appear on the product page.

Acceptable use

You agree not to share your license key or Composer credentials outside your own organization, attempt to circumvent the licensing/access controls on our private Composer repository, or use the modules in a way that violates Magento's or Adobe Commerce's own licensing terms.

Liability

Our modules are provided "as is." To the extent permitted by Swedish law, we're not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from their use. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under mandatory law.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Sweden.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time; the date at the top of this page reflects the latest revision. Material changes will be reflected here.
