Quote Inspector

The problem

When a shopper says "my cart isn't behaving right" or a support ticket references a cart that never became an order, there is normally no way to see what is actually stored on that quote without direct database access or a developer running a script. Magento's own admin has nothing equivalent to the Sales Order Grid for carts still in progress.

How it works

Quote Inspector adds a dedicated admin grid over the quote table, filtered and sortable the same way the order grid is, and a detail view that mirrors the layout of the order view page: account information, addresses, payment and shipping method, and item lines, so anyone already familiar with reading an order can read a quote the same way. Everything on the page is read-only, there is no form anywhere that writes back to the quote.

Behind the scenes

• A collapsed "All Quote Columns (Raw)" panel lists every column actually present on the quote row, not just the fields with a dedicated display elsewhere, so a custom column added by another module still shows up without this module needing to know about it.
• A separate Extension Attributes panel does the same for whatever extension attributes the quote carries.
• On the order view page, a small "Quote ID" row links back to the source quote, and the quote view links forward to the order once one exists, so the two records can be navigated between in either direction.

What the store owner sees

Support and store staff get a self-service way to answer "what's actually in this cart" without pulling in a developer or opening a database client, cutting the loop on cart related tickets down from a shell session to a couple of clicks in admin.
