The problem

Most Magento click-and-collect extensions still ask for a full delivery address on an order that is never delivered, and that single mismatch is behind most of the pickup complaints store owners run into: broken address validation, confused shoppers, and payment methods like PayPal or Braintree that reject an order because the shipping address does not look real.

How the address problem gets solved

This extension rewrites the shipping address to the branch address the moment a shopper picks one, in a plugin that runs before Magento saves the address and recalculates totals. Every downstream consumer, totals, tax, the order grid, address-checking payment methods, the packing slip, sees one consistent, real, deliverable-looking address, with nothing extra to teach any of them about pickup orders.

Time slots that mean something

Store pickup only works if the store can actually keep up with it, so slots are built from the branch's opening hours, holiday closures, how long the team needs to prepare an order, and how many pickups that slot already has booked. Everything is computed in the store's own timezone, so a shopper in Auckland and a shopper in Chicago each see slots that make sense locally, and a slot that fills up between browsing and checkout is caught again at order placement rather than discovered at the counter.

Handover as a real security step

Every booking gets a short collection code generated at random rather than derived from the order number, so nobody can guess one shopper's code from their own. Staff can override a mismatched code at the counter when they genuinely need to, but that override is logged against the booking rather than silently skipped, and products that cannot be collected in store can be excluded from pickup eligibility with a simple product attribute.

What the shopper and the store experience

The result is buy online pickup in store that behaves the way a shopper actually expects: a real branch, a real time slot the store can fulfil, and a code that means something when they reach the counter.
